I normally don't have time to write a review. But this time I felt the need to. This book can touch the soul in so many ways. Radleigh is a very spiritual person who has a strong faith in God, Archangels and the angels. So is this book about magic? Yes and no. It is about the magic of the soul. It is about learning to perceive the glass as half full with lots of sparkles rather than half empty. It is about unleashing the "Genie" within you to create a positive outlook on life. It can one minute have you laughing and the next crying.Can you create abundance in your life? Guess it depends on what you want to label as abundance. Through Radleigh's book you can begin to understand that negative thoughts and energy can draw you down. Will positive thoughts and energy give you a million dollars? Maybe - maybe not. But if you can be happy and positive with or without it then you are on the right path.Now please don't take to heart the negative review by Child of Light (who by the way - labels herself as a witch hunter on her profile). If she had truly read "How to be Your Own Genie" then she would have understood that there is no witchcraft, demons or anything like that. Radleigh just is trying to share his happiness with others. Take a chance and enjoy his sparkle.
Beside the fact that I just adore Radleigh Valentine, this book is a must read for everyone. Don't let the words "Genie" and "Magic" fool you, at the core of this book is advice for anyone, with any belief system, that can change how we interact with the world. Now then, if you do believe in the magic of the Universe, all the better, as you will be able to see and recognize the benefits of following the advice in a different way. Are you looking for more ease in your life? Read this book. Are you looking to manifest and align with Universal abundance? Read this book. Do you like to have a little giggle along the way? Read this book. Affectionately known in my holistic practice as "the book", I am on my third copy, as I keep finding others who can benefit from the wisdom of Radleigh Valentine and his Angels. Thank you, Radleigh Valentine, for putting this wisdom in a "simple" and easy to digest way.
This book was well written with an easy to read style. The advice was very down to earth, which is odd to say since there was an entire chapter on angels. The author gave you the impression that genie magic is a natural way of being, and the only practical way to live your life. While I didn't agree with everything he shares, my only real dislike was the amount of space he gave to judging other people as the negative, drama, or problem people. He did give a passing paragraph to everything being a mirror, but ultimately didn't seem to give it much weight. Otherwise though, I really enjoyed the book.
I loved this book, with its mixture of loving guidance, do-it-yourself exercises, and honest stories from Radleigh’s own life. I have read a lot of spiritual development books, but this one struck a special chord with me. Plus who knew that the delightful and sparkling Radleigh Valentine used to be a straight-laced accountant?! I’m reading it through for a second time and filling up my journal with quotes and reflections. Read it - you’ll find joy and inspiration, I promise!
Wonderful and inspiring book written true to Radleigh Valentine's unique voice, which makes you feel like he is in the room talking just to you. I enjoyed hearing about his past experiences and wise insights, as well as learning new things about how to build the life of one's dreams.. Radleigh Valentine's spirituality truly shines throughout this gem of a book, and his positive attitude and advice will leave you feeling confident and ready to shoot for the stars.
While I enjoy listening to Radleigh on his weekly radio program, and enjoy using the angel cards he created, this book seemed poorly written. It’s very chatty. It’s fluffy. It’s simplified. While I agree with much of what he’s saying in the book, it’s glib, folksy tone turned me off. He uses words like “pesky†and “oops†and “poof,†and warns against letting “drama masters†into your life. There’s good advice in this book, but getting past the writing style of the author proved challenging for me.

How to Be Your Own Genie has some great tips on what you can do to manifest the magical life you were born to live like it says on the cover of the book.He starts off by talking a bit about his history and how he discovered that working with the angels as,well as other things would help him manifest a magical life.He talked about how he discovered his own guardian angel Joshua,mentions the 15th archangels their names and their purposes and them he moved onto the Genie Academy and the lessons of the Genie Academy.Some of the lessons include Negativity Check which is definitely a great one,I need to check into that one more often,Lesson 2 Drama-holic Pulse Check,Lesson 3 Releasing Regret,Lesson 4 Perfect-Life-Bio,What Is Your Divine Guidance Telling You?as well as other kinds of lessons.I will admit when I read the book I mostly red through it and not done the lessons.When I have the time though.I will take more time to do the lessons,so I can manifest a more magical life for myself.If you like Radleigh Valentine and want to manifest a more magical life for yourself.This is the book to get.
