I definitely recommend this for epicurious first time visitors. I disagree with a few of his listings that I've tried, agree with others, and have plenty that I think are better than his choices, but I guess I'm happy that some of my favorites aren't in there. It's a great starting point for making your own eating discoveries in the city and even if you don't get further than his picks, you will eat very very well.

This little guide entertained me, and helped us find some otherwise lesser known Mexico City dining spots. I like its personal, quirky character.It does need a good going over by a more demanding editor to clean up a few flaws, such as missing items on the maps. There are key listings, in some cases, but no corresponding locator number on the map. The maps are very small scale and of low quality.But, overall, it's a good buy for the Mexico City food aficionado.

Just returned from Mexico City (January 2009) used this book as a guide and only wished that I had had more time to check out each and every one of his suggestions. Because of his comments I even ate so-called 'street food.' In a word -- yum.

I usually travel around Mexico on a hunt for the best of its' gastronomy. Nick Gilman has provided well research and accurate info, although the book is a little thin for the price.

We've been waiting for this one for years...a guide for foodies who want REAL Mexican food in Mexico. I's a one-of-a-kind and a must for visitors to the capital.I also highly recommend Mexico City: An Opinionated Guide for the Curious Traveler
